Well, the evening is done. What a fabulous time we had. so many wonderful people braved the less than clement weather to come out and support us in what was probably our finest hour to date. The luscious tones of Mr Ade Cull started off the evening and despite his manflu he was terrific as always. We did our set, about 75 mins worth then went off to shouts for more and came back on to do two more, including 'in these shoes' for which i had taken some really spangly shoes with me that nearly crippled me afterwards! I introduced the band in the same song, first time I've done that I think. we sold loads of CDs and everyone said they had a great evening. We've been supported by some great radio play in the days running up to the launch and there's more to come.

So the whole evening had a lovely dreamy quality to it and my cold didn't seem to spoil the noise coming out of me, so that's a relief. The Cellars at Eastney was just the right venue for the event, the perfect size, ambience and quality. Brilliant place. We are awaiting a couple of write ups about the event now, from a blues mag and from the News who interviewed me the next day. That was a challenge, because by 0430 on the night of the CD launch I was awake with the worst migraine I have had in years! I was ill all day and even in the evening when they phoned the sound of my own voice talking made my head hurt! Ouch. So it was back down to earth with a bang, no time to bask in the glory, straight back to grass roots. Also, straight back to work. We were out again on sunday in Petersfield at a lovely pub there in the square, The Square Brewery. It was a lovely venue although we were late, which is totally not like us but we were operating on duff information. All a bit bizarre. Anyway, a most splendid week and now a liitle time to recover i think! xxx
