The river runs away and I have a scratchy pot! Views: 5032
What a prolilfic lot of verbage comes out of me these days! Another song finished, this one is called 'The River Runs away' and I played it to Andy today for the first time and he is still laughing..... not really he liked it! I still get very nervous playing new songs to him (and anyone else) even though there have been loads of times I have done it now! Every song is a little bit of me and sharing words and/or music is really hard sometimes. This song came with a week between the words and the music although the melody pretty much came at the same time as the words only I didn't sit down to work out the chords till last Friday a week after I wrote the words. So, yet another song to add to the portfolio. This album might be the longest one on record for any artist!
Whilst we were rehearsing this evening we discovered that my keyboard amp has scratchy pot. This is not, in fact, a nasty rash but means that one of the master knobs (fnar fnar) has a scratch in the conductor and so the reverb is a bit dodgy apparently. I would have been quite innocent of the fact but the hairy Bluesman spotted it and that's why they pay him the big bucks! I shall apply cream daily until it is feeling better, poor amp!
