I was beside myself with excitement! My inbox was absolutely delighted to recieve my very first royalty notification from PRS, so proud! With trembling hands I double clicked, wondering what riches lay within. Holding my breath I looked and saw.....£32! Wow! Not quite enough to retire on but still, the first money I have earned as a result of writing and singing my own stuff. Very satisfying, if a little bit littler than I'd like but, well, money isn't everything! I might buy a nice bottle of Amaretto with it ready for Christmas.

So, last night Andy and I went to Si's to do another recording to sort out arrangements. Which song shall we do this time was the question and the answer was, one of the later songs called Pissing in the Dark, recently mentioned in a previous blog or two. It is only a demo version but we thought maybe you'd like to have a preview before the album comes out so we have posted it here. Look on the songs page. For your listening pleasure and a very merry pre-Christmas treat. I have to admit I love singing the words and at the first gig we sang this one at one of the audience kept asking my eldest daughter (in the audience lucky girl!) 'Is she really singing 'pissing'?' 'Tis great fun for an otherwise respectable () woman.
