Lively outing at the Golden Lion with a whale of a video or two... Views: 3093
I have been very lax at my blogging! Tis ages since the last one, I have the excuse of being insanely busy and lots of deadlines arriving for things all at once.We were out for our monthly airing at the Golden Lion in Southwick on Tuesday. It is such a lovely place (I know I keep saying it!) and the audience were grand. My three youngest children all came along and Greg (lovely landlord) mentioned how nice it was that they all came to see me sing. If only that were the case, they really went to eat his food as Eldest daughter (who came to last months gig cos she was in trouble!) had spread the word about how good the food was!
The band were all present and had a great time. We'd practiced the previous Tuesday some of the songs we hadn't played for a while. HAving such a big portfolio of songs now means some of them get forgotten if they aren't played so much and we have to keep revisiting them! Andy has a new gadget by way of a camera, which is a bit nifty on the taking of videos and he set it up on the mantlepiece next to me and let it rip for the first half of the first set. Hence we now have two new You Tube videos - links below please do check them out. The only problem is where the camera is set up the foreshortening makes me look like a whale, I know the camera puts on a few pounds but this is ridiculous!
Anyway, my favourite song of the evening is always 'Do it Alone' and the song 'In these shoes' was accompanied by a very knatty pair of pink aligator skin style cowboy boots I just happen to have acquired somewhere along the way! Made me laugh anyway!
