Rounding of the year with a couple of duo gigs and roll on 2015. Views: 3277

It scarcely seems possible that a year has gone by since last I wrote Merry Xmas to all and a happy New Year! Too quick by far!

Andy and I have been out and about as a duo during December, first at the Bare Bones Music Club which is a fully acoustic event held monthly at Milton Village Hall in Portsmouth.  It was a lovely gig, the audience were many and very attentive, the other acts were great, even the ad hoc ones were great quality. Initially I am always nervous going out without any props but once settled in, there is a freedom in not having a mic or a piano in my way and I really enjoyed myself Cool

The second gig was at the Quaker Christmas Shelter in Union Chapel, London. Slightly harder work as I had to take the piano! The audience were still very appreciative and it felt nice to be doing something for the homeless of London at this time of celebration. I can't imagine how hard it must be living on the streets at this time of year, well I guess any time of the year isn't ideal but at Xmas, when the weather is so cold and everyone appears to be having fun and being with family must make it extra hard. There was an amazing array of ages in the people coming in for the festive food and facilities. Helped me feel extra grateful.

So on that slightly pensive note I will bade you farewell for 2014 and I hope 2015 is a great year for as many as possible and a bearable year for the rest!

Much love xxx
